Colin Brown
Prior to founding Mariner Capital, Colin built and operated his own businesses across the recycling, construction, and travel sectors. Over the past 5 years, he has focused on acquiring, scaling, and optimizing owner-operated businesses, bringing a hands-on, operator-first perspective to investing.
Colin’s experience spans business acquisition, operational strategy, and capital deployment, with a particular emphasis on improving efficiency, strengthening management teams, and providing long-term value creation. Having worked directly inside the businesses he owns, he brings a practical, execution-focused approach to Mariner Capital’s Investment strategy.
Colin’s background as an owner-operator informs Mariner Capital’s partnership-driven approach, with a focus on building durable companies and supporting businesses through their next phase of growth.

Colin Dixon
Prior to founding Mariner Capital, Colin working in Asset Management at Tricon Residential, one of North America’s largest owners and operators of rental homes and a Blackstone Real Estate portfolio company. There he lead analysis on merging Home Partners of America into the Tricon portfolio, managed cash flow modeling and expansion of ancillary revenue initiatives.
Colin brings over 10 years of experience in operational finance from both manufacturing, technology and services based industries prior to joining Tricon Residential. He brings experience in operational finance around everything from product development, pricing strategy, property management, software implementation, acquisition, and cost-saving initiatives.
Colin received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Denver.
